神棍樂團結合西洋搖滾/嗩吶/二胡/鑼鼓/古琴/琵琶/馬頭琴等中國樂器，南北管/佛道教/客家/蒙古音樂等元素，將搖滾樂的批判精神加上傳統樂器與各式民俗文化交疊，其間的矛盾用團名「神棍」營造出諷刺感十足的音樂態度，創造音樂圈獨特的「乩童搖滾」；也借用周星馳的電影[國產零零七]聞西的角色名，意味音樂上的怪誕發明家，譽為「樂團界的達聞西」。
Zenkwun founded in 2006 who is a unique Mandarin rock band from Taiwan. The group comprises Obiwan (Lead vocal), Jimjay(Guitar), Che(Bass), Jason(Drum), Ian(Suona), and Wu, (Chinese traditional percussion) in live performance. In 2006, we won the Jury prize of Ho-hai-yanFestival in Taiwan in the meantime. In 2009, we won the championship of Taiwan YAMAHA Asian Beat and published our first album《Wan Fo Chao Zong》which was nominated “ Best Band” and “ Best New Artist” by 2010 Golden Indie Music Awards. In 2012, our Hakka rock song《Highway nine》was nominated “ Best Rock Single” by 2012 Golden Indie Music Awards. Moreover, we also published our second album《ZenkwunElectrified》.In 2019, our third album 《Existing like God》is published.
